Our Story
Madison and Clay first met in college at the University of South Alabama. They were both part of the Jaguar Marching Band, with Clay playing the saxophone and Madison the clarinet. What began with a sweet first date seeing Christmas lights at the Hank Aaron Stadium quickly grew into a meaningful relationship during their time in college, before life eventually took them in different directions.
Years later, in October 2023, a simple message reminiscing about shared memories sparked a renewed connection. What started as friendship, late nights playing games and catching up, slowly and thoughtfully grew into something deeper. By the summer of 2025, they found their way back to one another, and it quickly became clear that what they had was lasting.
Clay proposed in March of 2026 at a quiet overlook near the Fairhope Pier, and the rest is the beginning of a new chapter. Together, they balance and complement one another beautifully, sharing laughter, love, and a deep sense of home in each other.
The Venue
Madison and Clay are so excited to celebrate their wedding at Thornfield Plantation in Millbrook, Alabama. From their first visit, they were drawn to its peaceful setting and timeless charm. With a historic home, open green spaces, and a warm, inviting barn, the venue offers a perfect blend of elegance and relaxed Southern beauty.
They chose Thornfield Plantation because it felt both meaningful and welcoming, a place where they could gather with their closest family and friends to celebrate this special moment. They hope guests will enjoy the scenery, the atmosphere, and all the thoughtful details that make it such a special place.
